Max Petrenko, Ph.D.
Max Petrenko is a Senior Information Architect at Thermo-Fisher Scientific and has been publishing in ontology engineering, computational lexicology/semantics, and humor research. Max has a doctorate in Linguistics from Purdue University and a Ph.D. (“kandidat nauk”) in Philology from Anton Chekhov Institute in Taganrog (Russia). He is a Research Member at Natural Language Processing Lab (Purdue University). His previous affiliations include Machine Translation Division at the International Monetary Fund (Washington D.C.), RiverGlass Inc, where he worked as ontological semantic specialist and knowledge resource manager, and Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) at Purdue, where he was a Research Assistant in the NSF-funded project on the ontological semantic support for limited domains.
