The University offers a scholarship of $1,000 each Fall or Spring semester to family members (spouses and dependent children) of full-time faculty and staff.

Eligibility requirements are:

Must be a spouse or dependent child of a full-time faculty or staff member at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Must be working toward an undergraduate degree.  The scholarship cannot be used for graduate level courses.

Must be enrolled in at least 12 undergraduate credit hours each semester in which the scholarship is applied.  The scholarship will apply only to Fall or Spring semesters.  It is not available for summer semesters or mini-terms.

A grade point average of 2.0 must be maintained for the semester in which the scholarship is applied.

Failure to meet the eligibility requirements specified above can result in cancellation of the scholarship.

A scholarship application must be submitted before each Fall term and if approved, the scholarship will then be available for both Fall and the following Spring term.

The University Human Resources Office will verify full-time employment status for parents of scholarship applicants.

The Student Accounts Office will administer the scholarship program and will be responsible for monitoring compliance with eligibility requirements.

Applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility if requested.
