Ticket Information

The commencement ceremonies are ticketed events. Only students participating in the ceremony can claim tickets. Once they claim them, they can distribute them to their guests.

EXTRA TICKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.

FOR SAFETY REASONS, ALL GUESTS, INCLUDING INFANTS AND TODDLERS, MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ENTER.

Tickets are FREE. We do not sell any tickets to students or the public.

Graduates themselves do not need a ticket.

Tickets will not be available to claim at the door and must be claimed in advance by the student.

Guests should make sure they can access their tickets before they arrive to the ceremony and have them ready to be scanned before entering the building.  One ticket cannot be scanned multiple times, meaning a single ticket cannot be used by more than one person.

We have partnered with athletics to use the same ticket vendor as they use, so claiming tickets will be basically the same as getting tickets for one of our sporting events.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLAIMING TICKETS

PLEASE READ ALL STEPS THOROUGHLY!

  1. Click on the appropriate link below to claim tickets. If you are unsure which link to click on, please refer to the "Ceremony Details" page of this website and locate the college you are in. Your college is listed at the top of your DegreeWorks audit. You should have also received an email with this information as well.
  2. You will be asked to enter a code. Your code will be the letters SU followed by your CWID. (ex. SU1234567). You can only use this code once, so claim all of your tickets at one time even if you don't think you might use all of them.
  3. If you have never created an account with Vivenue, you will need to click on "Register New" and create a new account. If you have previously gotten tickets through Vivenue, you will use the login information you created when you set up the account.
  4. Once you have logged into your account, you can claim the tickets you were allotted, and you will receive an email confirmation from Vivenue that contains the tickets. The email will go to whatever email you used to register your account. SAVE THIS EMAIL!!
  5. Once you receive the confirmation email, you can either download the tickets or take a picture of each one and then email or text them to your guests. You can also download and print them to give to your guests if you would prefer.
  6. If you transferred your tickets to someone else, they must accept them within 48 hours. After 48 hours, they will no longer be able to access them.
  7. Tickets can be scanned from the guest's phone or via a printed paper ticket.
  8. If you are having trouble claiming your tickets, email liontickets@etamu.edu.
  9. We respectfully ask that you do not email our office asking for extra tickets- not even for just one. There are none available.
