All faculty, staff, and students are required to complete training for Responsible Conduct of Research prior to doing any research activities, and/or working on externally funded projects. Additional trainings are required for individuals who are paid from an externally funded project and/or whose research involves, animal care & use, biohazardous chemicals, export controls, or human subjects.
CITI training courses must be completed with a minimum score of 80%. The course may be repeated as necessary to achieve the 80% score. The time to complete the training modules can vary from 4-6 and 6-8 hours. Individuals may exit and resume the training at any time. At the time a training is successfully completed, the certificate of completion can be printed by the trainee. A notification will be sent to you prior to the expiration of your training. At anytime, you may return to the training modules and print a certificate or update your email address.
Face-to-Face trainings are usually available twice every year for the Responsible Conduct of Research and Protection of Human Subjects. To find out when the next Face-to-Face training will be offered please visit the Training and Workshops page.
