Oral Presentation Guidelines
Oral Presentations are for those projects in which data collection and analysis have been largely completed.
Although the use of visual aid is highly encouraged, the decision is entirely up to the student and the advisor.
Find below a list of approved PPT templates for your Oral Presentation. You will be required to use one of these templates if presenting using PPT.
- Oral presentations are 12 minutes long: 8 minutes for presentation and 4 minutes for questions from judges. The remaining time in your session will be open for audience Q&A.
- Visual aids should be displayed in logical sequence (e.g. abstract, introduction, method, and results or conclusion). This may vary by discipline, so check with your faculty advisor for guidance.
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your schedule session time to perform sound check and to ensure everything is working properly for your presentation.
