Student Transformative Learning Awards
The Student Transformative Learning Award competition invites undergraduates to apply for funding to support their participation in innovative learning experiences that complement their academic and professional goals. Offered through a partnership between the Honors College and the Office of the Provost, this award provides funding for projects that foster hands-on learning and creative inquiry, including:
- Mentored research
- Research internships, or
- Creative project-based learning
Eligibility
The competition is open to all undergraduate students in good academic standing who will be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours during the semester of the project.
Award Details
Awards up to $1,500 may be used to cover travel, materials, and/or stipends related to a mentored investigation or inquiry project that seeks to make an intellectual or creative contribution to knowledge. Examples include:
- Traditional or creative research
- Research-related internships
- Team-based project learning
- Other experiential learning with a focus on inquiry and knowledge contribution

- Apply for Spring 2025 projects December 6, 2024
- Apply for Summer/Fall 2025 projects by April 25, 2025
