Eddie Mize

Manager of Planning and Scheduling for Chevron’s Major Capital Projects group

While not born in Commerce, he began living here at age four when his parents came back to pursue advanced degrees.  Eddy attended CISD schools from first grade until graduation in 1988.  He completed his BS degree in 1992 with a double major in Mathematics and History.  Upon graduation, Eddy spent the next three years teaching math and coaching at Fruitvale High School.   In 1995, Eddy moved to Houston and began a career in project management.   He spent the next ten years working in Houston, Midland, and Baton Rouge for various engineering and construction companies.  He joined Chevron in 1996 and has held positions of increasing responsibility over the last 9 years.  He is currently the Manager of Planning and Scheduling for Chevron’s Major Capital Projects group.  This role has allowed Eddy to work on every continent except Antarctica!


He is married to Kim Kerbow Mize (ETSU ‘92).  They have been married for almost 22 years and are the proud parents of 19 year old twin daughters Brittany and Taylor.

Eddy is the third generation of his family to graduate from Texas A&M-Commerce (ETSU).  In addition, he and his father Tom both have degrees from the university in mathematics.
