Vaughn Wascovich
Vaughn Wascovich is a fine art photographer and photographic educator with over twenty years experience as a commercial photographer. He has worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies as well as major advertising agencies.

Vaughn Wascovich will have a solo exhibition, “Coming Home, The Landscape Photography of Vaughn Wascovich” at Northeast Texas Community College, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The exhibition will run from September 15 through October 24, 2008. There will be a reception Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Whatley Foyer.
Beginning in late September, 2008, Vaughn Wascovich and his students will be participating with Alex Smith and her students in Texas' first Art Attack in Winnsboro Texas. This event will take place over several weeks and will culminate in an exhibition of art at the Winnsboro Art Center. In conjunction with “NEO Going Green Initiative”, Vaughn Wascovich will be giving a lecture on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, Oklahoma.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the Axis Gallery 3rd National 2008, Axis Gallery, Sacramento, California. The juror was Phil Linhares, Chief Curator of the Oakland Museum, Oakland, California. From 442 images, the juror selected 47 images by 34 artists.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the 12 12 Gallery National Juried Photography Exhibition 2008, 12 12 Gallery, Richmond, Virginia. The juror, Dr. Carol McCusker selected 50 images from 826 entries. Dr. McCuster is Curator of Photography, Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego, California. The exhibition opens Friday, October 3rd through Sunday, November 9th.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the national juried exhibition, Schwa Show 08, Emerge Gallery and Art Center, Greenville, North Carolina, 27858.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the national juried exhibition, Roseville Arts 32nd Annual Open Show, Blue Line Gallery, Roseville, California. The exhibition was curated by Philip Linhares, chief curator of Art, The Oakland Museum of California. Mr. Linhares selected 64 pieces from 486 entries.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the 2008 Academy of Fine Arts National Juried Photography Exhibition, Lynchburg, Virginia. The exhibition was curated by Christa Keeger Bowden, Professor of Art, Washington and Lee University.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the 2008 Southern Appalachian Artist Guild’s First National Juried Exhibition. Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association, Blue Ridge, Georgia. The juror, Alan Flattman accepted 80 two-dimensional works from nearly 450 works of art submitted.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the 12th Annual Rio Brazos Art Exhibition & Sale, Tarleton State University, Granbury, Texas.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the Fifteenth Annual National Juried Small Matters of Great Importance exhibition, Hopper House Art Center, Nyack, New York. The juror Tracey Bashkoff is assistant curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the George Ohr National Challenge exhibition, Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, Biloxi, Mississippi. The exhibition opens September 19 and runs through November 6, 2008.
Vaughn Wascovich’s work was accepted into the 2008 Third Coast National, K Space Contemporary, Corpus Christi, Texas. 148 artists entered 445 works of art, which were reviewed by the juror, Josh MacPhee. MacPhee selected 55 works of art for the exhibition. The show opens October 18, 2008.
