Top Hat pricing considerations

Faculty offering a text book through Top Hat-  Cost of eText covers all Top Hat system functionality in the student’s text book price.

Faculty not offering text book through TopHat- if using Top Hat functionality without their e-Text, your department will need to cover the per student cost.

Costs for the Top Hat are per-student for a period of time. We have negotiated preferred pricing for Texas A&M University-Commerce students:

  • 4 months $29
  • 1-year $46
  • 4-years $93

Top Hat is primarily an e-text platform, in addition to a student response system and teaching platform that instructors can use to engage students both in and out of the classroom with interactive slides, graded questions, customized content, videos, discussions and polls. Students use their own web-enabled devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, or even traditional cell phones) to participate in active learning activities. Top Hat is integrated with D2L for one-click roster and gradebook synchronization.
