Modify an East Texas A&M Web Page Yourself

As an East Texas A&M employee, you may log in with your university credentials to request modifications to the university’s public site. The TAMUC Wordpress Editor’s Guide provides step-by-step instructions.

Request Updates

Public Site: To request updates to a webpage on East Texas A&M’s public site, email Webmaster@tamuc.edu.

Internal Site: To request updates to a webpage on East Texas A&M’s internal site, email HelpDesk@tamuc.edu.

Compare the Public and Internal Sites

The following information will help you differentiate between the public site and the internal site.

  1. Public Site (www.tamuc.edu), the external-facing marketing website
  2. Internal Site (inside.tamuc.edu), the internal website, also known as the “intranet”

Maintaining two separate websites is an industry standard in higher education and is advantageous for several reasons, including increased security, SEO optimization and user experience.

Each unit (department, office, college, etc.) is responsible for keeping its content accurate and up to date.

Email webmaster@tamuc.edu with edit requests or for instructions on how to log in and make changes.
