Exception Requests
If after careful evaluation of all available resources and options it has determined that compliance with a provision of Texas A&M University Commerce's EIR Accessibility Policy imposes a significant difficulty or expense to the university, A&M Commerce staff/faculty may request an exception. An exception for significant difficulty or expense is not an exception to overall compliance, but rather is an exception only for the specific item or situation and requires a reasonable alternate method for access.
If an exception is deemed necessary, review form instructions or download them for reference. The instructions will also be located within the exception form.
Fill out the online EIR Accessibility Exceptions Request Form, making sure to upload pertinent documentation such as the Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) from the vendor.
Your request will be reviewed and routed to the accessibility team, department head, CIO, subsequently, the President, or designee. You will receive a notification when the exception has been reviewed.
