The Sayako Chinen East Asia Scholarship provides funds (up to $1000) for either a TAMU-C undergraduate or graduate student to study in East Asia, with preference given to those students studying in Japan.  (Note: This does not apply to international exchange students)  The purpose of the study is varied--it can be to participate in a University-sanctioned study abroad program or a University-sanctioned research project related to a recognized degree program.  This award cannot be used to support conference attendance or presentations.
