If treatments are required before the game, they will be administered in the training room located in the Field House, adjacent to your locker room. Available equipment includes: cryotherapy, hydrotherapy, moist heat, electrical muscle stimulation, and ultrasound. The following emergency equipment will be available if needed: back board stretcher with C.I.D., scoop stretcher, vacuum splints, SAM splint, traction splint, oxygen, crutches, infectious waste disposal, and first aid supplies. A paramedic staffed M.I.C.U. will be located behind your bench during the game.
Supplies furnished during competition include: water, 4 - 10 gallon coolers, ice chest w/ice bags, unlimited cups, 2 - 10 gallon locker room water w/cups, infectious waste disposal & 2 student host trainers w/radio. A gator will also be provided to help transport your equipment to the field. You may utilize the locker room under the north end of the stadium if you wish. Just let your host trainer know. We will try to accommodate your every need to the best of our abilities.
Also, a maximum of three cases of soft drinks or PowerAdes (72 cans) will be provided in your locker room, to be used whenever you want. Our team physician, and/or orthopedic surgeon will be on the home team sideline during the game. Your host trainers will have a radio transmitter to call to the home team sidelines should you need anything.
Please review the supply sheet below. Also, if your equipment person could check with our equipment manager/coach, Justin Roberts, concerning sideline phones and video, it would be helpful.
If you have special needs or requests, feel free to call Head Athletic Trainer (903-886-5578) by Wednesday of game week.
