Bridge Builders are current faculty and staff who have made financial and in-kind gifts to the university. The term Bridge Builder was taken from a favorite poem of Professor Mayo’s and this term embodies what our generous faculty and staff do for our students when they make a contribution; building bridges between students and education.
Contact Laura Lucas at Laura.Lucas@tamuc.edu or 903-468-8187 to discuss becoming a Bridge Builder, or to find out about the other ways you can give back to the university.
As a member of the LION community, you play a vital role in the University's success! Whatever your job, you have an impact in providing an unequaled, day-to-day experience for our students.
Staff giving makes a huge difference to outside funders. The participation rate among those who have an internal view of the organization is increasingly important. In fact, staff participation can sometimes make an even stronger impression on foundations, corporations, and individual donor prospects than the giving rates of board members.
When staff members participate in campaigns, the nonprofit gains much more than dollars toward the campaign goal. Contributing employees and board members demonstrate to everyone asked to give to the campaign that the mission, the project, and the organization matter, especially to those who carry it out every day!
