The College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts, which houses the Department of Literature and Languages, has been approved as a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider in Texas. The continuing professional education provider number (CPE#) for College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts at Texas A&M University-Commerce is # 116-501.
No problem! Some states don't require us to file as a credit provider (e.g., Oklahoma), in which case, the hours you earn from this event can be submitted as professional development hours/credits/points in your own state (following any additional state requirements you might have; e.g., school administrator approval).
If your state, like Texas, does require providers to formally apply for CPE provider status, let us know! We're open to applying for provider status in other states.

We believe every person in Texas has a right to literacy. We understand that literacy is more than just reading and writing: it is competency and understanding; it is achieving goals to reach our full potential as members of our shared society. Our mission is to connect and equip Texas adult and family literacy programs through resources, training, networking, and advocacy.

TexTESOL IV is one of five affiliates of TexTESOL, the Texas branch of the international association TESOL, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Our common mission is to advance professional expertise in English language teaching and learning for speakers of other languages. Our membership consists of educators from all levels: elementary, secondary, higher-education, and adult education. All of our board members share the same commitment to provide a fair, quality education for all students. To that end, TexTESOL IV hosts an annual regional conference and participates in state and national conferences.
We also strive to maintain a board which represents the needs and concerns of all of the educational levels we serve. The board meets monthly and welcomes the input of members. Please contact members of the TexTESOL IV boards with your questions and concerns.
