Prepare for a rewarding career in health, physical education, sport administration, or exercise science with a master’s degree in health and human performance from Texas A&M University-Commerce.  With more than 50 percent of the required courses offered online, our affordable, convenient and practical degree programs are an ideal solution for the working professionals like you to enhance their career.

Many courses are offered at the Metroplex Center in Mesquite, as well as at the main Commerce campus.

We also offer a non-thesis master of education degree in health and kinesiology.

Your master’s degree from the department of health and human performance will provide you with:

  • Knowledge and skills necessary to organize and administer programs of health, kinesiology and sport
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, criticize, and produce research within the fields of health, kinesiology and sports
  • Advanced skills and current knowledge related to health, exercise science, health and physical education pedagogy necessary to enhance your career

To apply for the master’s degree program in health, kinesiology and sports studies, all applicants must submit:

1.    Official transcripts documenting a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
2.    A minimum overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
3.    Acceptable GRE scores on the combined verbal and quantitative parts of the Graduate Record Examination.
4.    Two letters of recommendation (preferably from your former professors).
5.    A statement describing the applicant’s professional and educational goals (250-350 words or less).
