Matthew Stemen
BBA in Management
Class of
2018
My name is Matthew Stemen, and I am a senior in TAMUC‘s business administration program. During the summer of 2017, I served as a marketing intern with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. The internship refined not only my skills in marketing, but also my global competency in international business. I was able to take my education beyond the desk by meeting ambassadors (real ambassadors from other countries), CEO’s, and even the Principal of Jesus College, Oxford! The World Affairs Council awarded me for being the most outstanding intern out of a group of about a dozen interns from Pepperdine, UNT, and other institutions throughout the nation.
After graduating from PJC, I transferred to Commerce to continue my undergraduate studies. I am flourishing as a lion, making the President’s list two semesters in a row, and joining Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Alpha Pi, and the College of Business Student Council. I work for the Sherwin-Williams Company as a sales associate in Paris Texas, where I have been employed for two years. In my free time, I enjoy training as a black belt, and perusing my instructor’s license in the Israeli martial art; Krav Maga.
