Call for Papers
Deadline: March 2, 2012
We solicit proposals for panels on any historical topic or period, and we welcome participation by historians, literary critics, economists, sociologists, art historians, and scholars in other allied disciplines. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit proposals to the faculty advisor of the Eta Beta chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. It is not necessary to be a member of Phi Alpha Theta to submit a paper proposal for this conference, although only Phi Alpha Theta members are eligible for prizes.
Proposals for entire panels on a given theme will receive priority, although individual paper proposals will also be considered. Proposals for individual papers should include name and contact information, university affiliation, and status (graduate or undergraduate) as well as a 200-300 word abstract and brief C.V. Proposals for panels (three presenters) should include a list of paper titles, names of participants, university affiliations, status (undergraduate or graduate), and contact information for each panelist. Review of proposals will begin on March 2, 2012. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by March 9, 2012. Late submissions may be considered pending space availability until the program is completed.
All conference participants must pre-register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee. Those who wish to attend the conference without presenting are welcome to do so, and must also register. Registration is due by March 30, 2012.
