Application Process
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
The application for the indicated semester must be received by the corresponding date.
- Fall 2024 – July 15, 2024
- Spring 2025 – October 21, 2024
Registration Requirements
- Up-to-date degree plan. Check with your assigned advisor if you have questions about your course progression.
- Verification of the completion of 10 personal counseling sessions in your file. See COUN 516 personal counseling requirements.
- The above forms, 551/552 Application, Field Site Information Form (to be completed by student and submitted each semester), and Orientation Form, are required for Practicum. No Orientation Form is needed for Internship applicants. Send all forms to the clinical coordinator at DirectorofTrainingandPlacement@cp.tamuc.edu EACH SEMESTER you enroll in 551 and 552.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- It takes time for the clinical coordinator and the Department of Counseling admins to process applications and issue permits each semester. If you have submitted your materials and received confirmation from the clinical coordinator that your application has been approved, the admin will notify you via email when you have received a permit to enroll.
- When NEW Clinical Mental Health Counseling sites are added (i.e., clinical placements not currently listed on the Approved Field Site List), the new site supervisor must also complete the Field Site Information Form and submit it to the clinical coordinator at DirectorofTrainingandPlacement@cp.tamuc.edu.
