Initiative: New Doctoral Student Scholarship Summer 2012

First doctoral level course free (in-state tuition and fees) for new (taking first doctoral level course Summer 2012) fully admitted doctoral students. Scholarship applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until monies are depleted.  Funds will go quickly. Please apply as soon as possible.

Application Eligibility

• Must be a new (taking first doctoral level course in Summer 2012) Texas A&M University-Commerce doctoral student.
• Must have application in process or be fully admitted to one of the following A&M-Commerce doctoral programs: Counseling; Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction-ElementaryEducation; Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction-Higher Education; Educational Psychology; or English.
• Texas residents may take coursework face-to-face or online; non-residents must take face-to-face courses only.
• Scholarship applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until available monies are depleted.  Funds will go quickly. Please apply as soon as possible.

Steps for Scholarship Application

• If not admitted to an A&M-Commerce doctoral program, complete an online Graduate School admission applicationand submit all required admission documents. A campus-wide ID and email address will be provided when you apply. Initially, your password will be your birth date.

• Go to Scholarship Portal.  Select Dollar$4$cholar$—Free Summer Graduate Scholarships. 

• Click sign in at the bottom of the page. Sign in by using your myLeo email address and password. Complete New Doctoral Student Scholarship application and submit.

For Funds Disbursement

• You must have full admission status to a doctoral degree program.
• You must be enrolled in a specific doctoral level course.
• You must accept scholarship offer received in your myLeo email. Ultimately, you will be directed back to the Scholarship Portalto accept your award.
• Funds cannot be awarded in combination with other scholarship or programs in excess of in-state tuition and fees for first course. Funds can be awarded in conjunction with other Dollar$4$cholar$ doctoral initiatives. You must submit a separate online scholarship application for each initiative.
