Frequently Asked Questions

Many clients have questions about massage therapy. Below is a list of FAQ's; if you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

  1. Do I have to undress? Each client may undress to his or her own level of comfort. You will be draped throughout your massage with a blanket, and only the body part your therapist is working on will be outside the blanket.
  2. Am I supposed to tip? As with any service, you may tip if desired; tips can be given directly to the therapist. We do not have capability to add tips to credit card transactions.
  3. Will the massage therapist be in the room when I undress? No. After you complete your intake forms, your therapist will consult with you to plan which areas need treatment. He or she will then leave the room for you to undress to your level of comfort and settle under the blanket on the table. The therapist will knock and ask permission before entering the room.
  4. Should I talk during the massage? If you have questions or feedback for your therapist, please speak up! Otherwise, do whatever you have to do to relax. You are under absolutely no obligation to chat with the therapist.
  5. The pressure is too light/too firm, but I don't want to insult the therapist's technique. What should I do? You know your body best, and your therapist wants you to have a great experience. We encourage you to speak up if pressure is too light or too firm so the therapist can adjust. He or she will appreciate your feedback!
  6. I'm self-conscious about a certain part of my body, what should I do? As stated above, you may undress to your level of comfort. If you wish for the therapist to avoid a certain part of your body, let him or her know in your pre-massage consultation.
  7. Can I select the gender of my massage therapist? Yes. Please ask when scheduling your appointment if you prefer a male or female. Subject to availability.
