All new F-1 and J-1 international students are required to upload immigration check-in documents and attend New International Student Orientation hosted by the Office of International Programs. All NEW F-1 and TRANSFER F-1 International Students must attend mandatory International Student Orientation. It is important that you attend your orientation on Friday, January 2, 2023, from 11am to 1pm via Zoom (link will be provided), East Texas A&M University. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires every international student to check in with the International Office. We are required to report your arrival at A&M-Commerce to the USCIS.

If you fail to attend the orientation, we may be forced to terminate your Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) record and in accordance with 8 CFR 214.2(f)(5)(iv) of the regulations you will be required to depart the U.S. immediately. All new undergraduate students to A&M-Commerce are required to attend a separate new undergraduate orientation called New Student Orientation. The New Student Orientation is hosted by a separate office on campus and is not part of the ISSS services. For more information contact the New Student Orientation office.
