Stop-out Grant Application

Stop-out is a one-time $500 grant for A&M-Commerce graduate students who stopped-out (over 1 year) of their graduate program and are returning to continue their graduate coursework in the Spring 2023 semester.

Funding for this grant is limited. Please complete the application form at the bottom of this page.

In order to qualify for the Stop-out grant you must:

  • Complete and submit this Stop-out Grant application form below.
  • Be an A&M-Commerce student who stopped out of his/her graduate program and is returning to continue his/her graduate program at A&M-Commerce
  • Re-apply and gain readmission to your previous master’s, specialist, or doctoral program and enroll by January 17, 2023 for the Spring 2023 semester

All above requirements must be met by January 17, 2023 for the Spring 2023 semester order to be eligible for the Stop-out Grant.

You will be notified if you are awarded the Stop-out Grant and your account will be credited the appropriate amount. If you are receiving financial aid during the Spring 2023 semester there may be a need to adjust your total financial aid package. I understand that if I am awarded this grant, I must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 graduate semester hours of coursework in Spring 2023 to receive funding. If I withdraw from classes or drop below the required minimum graduate semester hours of coursework at Texas A&M University-Commerce on or before 12th class day for Spring 2023, I will forfeit this award.
