Liberal studies allowed me the freedom and flexibility to explore areas of research when the road to my career wasn’t as clean-cut as many can be. I wanted to become an equine-assisted therapist, but there were certifications after college, I would have to obtain. No degree existed that would prepare me for this unique, multi-dimensional position. Liberal studies allowed me to pursue three interrelated areas of studies: equine studies, psychology, and counseling.
