1. The Office of the Dean of Students processes Physical Education excuses for those students who are exempt from Physical Education courses for medical reasons. Student cannot be exempt from Physical Education courses unless they have a written excuse from their doctor. The Dean of Student’s Office will verify these excuses.

2. The original excuse, along with the authorization typed at the bottom and signed by the Dean of Students, is filed in the student’s personal folder in the Dean of Student’s Office. However, copies are first made and distributed as follows:

a. Health, Kinesiology & Sports Studies Department

b. Registrar’s Office

c. Dean of College

d. Personal Copy for Student.

3. The Admissions Office handles Physical Education excuses for those students who have been in the military service and have a DD214 to exempt them from Physical Education.
