EIR Accessibility

Purpose of EIR Accessibility Committee

The EIR Accessibility Committee and its sub-groups works to develop accessibility guidelines, research new tools and best practices on accessibility, provide educational resources for A&M-Commerce staff and faculty, compile reports for university leadership and direct individuals with questions on accessibility to appropriate guidance and resources.

Committee membership is currently composed of members from Center IT Excellence (CITE), Student Resources Disability Services (SRDS), the University Library, Center Faculty Excellence Innovation (CFEI) and multiple departments at A&M-Commerce.

Mission Statement

The EIR Accessibility Committee was established to coordinate efforts to improve accessibility of Texas A&M-Commerce’s web resources, digital course content and information systems, as well as to integrate accessibility standards for A&M-Commerce procurement process.

Our vision is universally accessible educational community that fosters the full participation and contribution of every member, with individual accommodation needed only in unique or uncommon situations.
